Health and safety at work, together with the environment, are among GEVORKYAN’s most important values. Respect for the environment and the will to continue this development is demonstrated by the fact that the company employs highly qualified professionals responsible for health, safety at work and the environment.
More than 90% of waste is recycled or reused, reducing the negative impact on the environment. Experts are constantly working to make more efficient use of natural resources. One example is the installation of a waste emulsion purifier, which allows purified emulsion to be returned to the production process. Another project planned for the coming period is the installation of heat recovery units to use the waste heat from the compressor station to heat the domestic water as well as the office space.
Environmentally friendly technologies 2021
Implementation of the nitrogen generator project in 2021 will allow for greater flexibility of nitrogen production at the point of consumption. The advantage is independence from unstable supplies and rising prices from traditional suppliers. Low operating costs and no delivery and handling charges will allow a rapid return on investment. The generator’s simple operation and fully automatic production meet the highest safety standards.
Saving natural resources
GEVORKYAN’s technologies are virtually waste-free and recyclable. The entire production process is energy-efficient, low-emission and saves raw materials. We use electricity generated from renewable sources for production, helping to reduce CO2 emissions. A photovoltaic power plant project is planned for 2022.
GEVORKYAN regularly monitors its carbon footprint in order to assess the environmental impact of its operations and identify further opportunities to reduce emissions. The carbon footprint calculation was performed in accordance with the GHG Protocol methodology and included Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions.
In 2025, our Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions totaled 4,001.45 t CO₂eq, representing a year-over-year decrease of 2.24% compared to 2024. Electricity consumption accounts for the largest share of the total result, which is why we focus on the use of renewable energy sources, energy efficiency, and the gradual implementation of energy-saving measures.
Powder metallurgy is a progressive and cost-effective manufacturing technology in terms of energy consumption and the carbon footprint of production processes. Compared to traditional casting and machining methods, it can achieve a lower carbon footprint, and its advantage also lies in the nearly waste-free utilization of input materials.
